Wynn has been a trusted financial advisor since 1974. He has earned a national reputation for his expertise in life insurance solutions for families and private businesses. His main focus is on wealth creation and estate preservation by eliminating debt obligations and minimizing tax liabilities.
Wynn holds his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation, so you can be confident that he provides expert and professional financial planning services. Wynn also adheres to a professional code of ethics and he fulfills annual continuing education requirements to remain aware of current planning strategies and financial trends. Wynn has also completed the Chartered Life Underwriters course to earn his CLU designation, as well as the Certified Financial Consultants Course and Canadian Securities Course.
Wynn has a long history of service on various community boards and committees including The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Balmoral Hall School, The University of Manitoba Development Committee, and The Misericordia Health Centre Foundation. He is currently a board member for Specialized Services for Children & Youth (SCCY).
Outside of work and volunteer commitments, Wynn and his wife Teddi have been married for over 40 years and have five children. Wynn is a happy grandfather to five and is looking forward to more.

James has a passion for helping business owners and their families make smart choices with their money. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1998, and with Wynn Sweatman since 2004. James, Wynn and their team moved to Lawton Partners in 2015.
Since 1989, Avis has worked closely with Wynn and James who provide insurance products and services to their clients through Sweatman Insurance & Retirement Services. When she joined the team, Avis brought over 10 years of experience in all aspects of life insurance products and services. Her experience allows Wynn and James to help their clients focus on what is important to them and their families.
Avis assists in developing and implementing individual insurance programs for our clients. Avis’ role encompasses preparing for client meetings, processing and following up on all aspects of the insurance division, and managing the daily operations and administration duties. Avis holds her Life License and her extensive knowledge continues to be an important asset to our practice.
Angela joined James and Wynn in 2016. She brings with her 15 + years of knowledge in many aspects of the financial services industry. Angela has her Certified Financial Planner® designation. A committed member of our team, Angela adheres to a professional code of ethics. She has extensive experience with investments, insurance and group solutions. She is a strong advocate for industry education, professional development, and positive client relationships. She loves art, music, baking, and running. She is a big fan of her two teenage children and their endeavors. Angela continues to advance her education, and looks forward to using that knowledge to help you.
Sandy is the newest member of our team, joining us in June of 2020. She began working in the financial services industry in 1993, and brings valuable experience and energy with her. Along the way, she obtained her life insurance and mutual funds licenses. Sandy and Angela LeBrun worked together in the past with great success. Providing timely and sterling service to our clients, Sandy is a believer in holistic financial planning.
Outside of work Sandy’s favourite people in the world are her children and grandchildren. She loves gardening, and recently qualified as a judge with the American Iris Society. She is an avid reader, and enjoys going to museums and taking road trips across Canada.
