With over three decades of experience, Wayne specializes in helping clients make smarter decisions about their money. He works with a select group of experienced entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals in situations where he can add significant value towards achieving their most important financial goals.
As a trusted advisor and business entrepreneur, Wayne utilizes his considerable knowledge and expertise in developing strategies in four key areas: wealth enhancement, wealth transfer, wealth protection and charitable gifting.
Wayne is also a noted public speaker to audiences across Canada. He has recently published his first white paper entitled “Intelligent Investing” designed to educate investors about the essential ingredients of wealthy, successful investors.
Wayne currently acts on numerous boards. Some of which included, Cardinal Capital Management, Value Partners Investments, and Artis REIT, a Winnipeg based real estate investment trust.
Previously, Wayne served as a director for numerous non-profit organizations including St. John’s-Ravenscourt School, Misericordia Health Centre, and Misericordia Health Centre Foundation

Jamie Townsend
BA, CFP®, CLU, FEAJamie works with business owners and professionals to help simplify their financial lives. Typically, this involves finding ways to reorganize their planning to achieve tax-efficient solutions for their succession, retirement and estate planning challenges. Jamie was recognized by Wealth Professional Magazine for this work as a Top 50 Advisor in Canada.
From a personal perspective, this includes focusing on areas such as total wealth accumulation, improved tax efficiency, dynamic withdrawals, cash flow planning and proper retirement planning. From a business perspective, this also involves group benefits, group RRSP’s and the Moneyball project to help business owners make informed decisions in growing and transitioning their business.
Ryan Pilon
CFA, MBARyan has been with Lawton Partners since July 2017. He is actively involved in the day to day management of client accounts addressing all areas of their financial situation including investment, insurance, or corporate planning. Because of the time that he has spent living outside of Canada in the USA, Europe, and New Zealand, he is able to incorporate a broad world view into his personal financial philosophies. It is his goal to help clients keep the long term nature of a financial plan in mind when they make a financial decision.
Barb Modjeski
Barb is the direct source of contact for our clients and her warmth, friendliness and caring attitude makes her a key member of our team.
Tax and estate planning questions, tracking down missing information, banking arrangements, requests for withdrawals, and coordinating appointments are some of the many skills Barb brings to the team.
Barb joined Lawton Partners in 1999 after a 15-year career at a major insurance company, focusing on retirement planning and pension products. She holds her mutual funds and life insurance licenses.
Linda Stupack
Linda joined Lawton Partners in June 2014 as an assistant to Wayne and Jamie Townsend. Linda brings over 20 years of experience in office administration, accounts receivable and client services. Linda assists the team with client communication, presentation research and preparation, account administration and day-to-day functions.
Outside of work Linda spends her time keeping up with her young family’s activities, and participating in organized running events.
Alison Hanneson
Alison is a graduate from the University of Manitoba and joined the financial industry shortly after her graduation in 2008. As a Financial Advisor at a Canadian bank, she focused on providing clients with holistic financial planning advice including day-to-day banking, lending, and implementing investment decisions. Alison thrives when she is working directly with clients to deeply understand their situation and their plan.
Along with her University Degree, Alison has completed her Personal Financial Services Advice Course, Financial Planning One and Canadian Securities Course.
Alison, born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba is married to her husband Matthew Hanneson, a CPA, where they raise their 2 daughters. Alison spends her spare time with her family and can be found watching her daughters perform gymnastics and dance.
