Stewart built his wealth management practice working closely with families as their business and personal financial advisor. He has a passion for finding solutions that bring clarity to clients’ businesses and personal lives. These solutions range from basic personal financial plans to complex estate and succession plans.
Stewart never tires of his disciplined process to assess clients’ needs. He takes a genuine interest in developing and delivering the best solutions to achieve long-term financial goals. Stewart has maintained a connection to his agricultural roots by helping many family farm businesses and agri-businesses in the areas of succession planning and retirement strategies.
Outside of work, Stewart enjoys spending time with his children, Brooke and Quinton, often as a coach for minor league hockey, or sailing together at Lake of the Woods. Always active, Stewart plays squash, hockey, golf, and often skis.

Dwaine KingBA, CFP®, CLU, CH.F.C, TEP
Dwaine works closely with his clients to develop personal investment plans, which are highly suited to their immediate and long-term needs, as well as their retirement and estate planning goals. He focuses on being a financial resource to high net worth families and privately held businesses. This involves the coordination of estate plans with executive benefits and personal investment plans. Dwaine’s experience has also provided him the expertise to advise professionals who are able to incorporate and benefit from new planning opportunities.
Jason joined Lawton Partners in 2014. His previous experience at a major Canadian Financial Institution consisted of advising clients within a retail environment in areas of investments and lending.
Lucy joined Lawton Partners in September 2007 and brings over 25 years of experience to the King team. She is a Certified Financial Planner® and has a Trust and Estates designation (TEP).
As a previous bank and financial manager, she is dedicated to client service and has in-depth knowledge of administration, lending, investing, and financial planning. Lucy acts as a service liaison between a client’s investment portfolio with planned objectives, and their accounting and legal professionals assisting in client account management.
Lucy has her insurance and mutual fund licenses, Canadian Securities Investment certificate, and Officers’ Partners’ and Directors’ course. She also has a Masters Certificate in Project Management.
Being a strong supporter of the community she is the Co-Chair of the Rotary Career Symposium. Lucy has also served on the Board of Directors and Audit committee of the Teachers Retirement Allowance Fund (TRAF).
Over the years, Val has mastered the art of team focus due to her keen and dedicated attention to processing client transactions. Keeping track of day-to-day team challenges is her greatest strength. Val holds her mutual funds and life insurance licenses.
Val joined Lawton Partners in 1994 and finds her career with the team to be ever changing and stimulating. Her greatest reward comes from client interactions. Working with Dwaine has given her insight into a higher level of financial support for their clientele.
In her spare time, Val enjoys going to the gym, yoga class, and the lake. She also enjoys spending time with her new niece and her Ragdoll and Main Coon cats.
Bryan joined Lawton Partners in 2016, with extensive experience in customer service and accounting.
Bryan’s role is anticipating and responding to client’s needs. He takes pride in being a part of a wealth management team focused on providing comprehensive solutions for clients.
Bryan has completed the Investment Funds in Canada course and has obtained his Mutual Funds License. He also holds a Business Administration diploma from Red River College, and is working towards earning his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation and Life Insurance License. Bryan spends most of his free time with his wife, two kids, and their dog.
